The Eclipse Corridor is a period between two consecutive eclipses (solar and lunar), lasting approximately 2 weeks. This is one of the most powerful and turbulent times in the astrological calendar.
What are eclipses in astrology?
Eclipses occur when the Sun and Moon are near the Lunar Nodes (Rahu and Ketu). A solar eclipse is a new moon on the nodal axis. A lunar eclipse is a full moon on the nodal axis.
Eclipses happen 2-3 times every six months, in pairs or triplets. The period between the first and last eclipse in a series is called the corridor.
In 2026, the main eclipses fall in February-March and August-September. The eclipse axis currently passes through Virgo and Pisces, activating themes of health, service, spirituality, and boundaries.
What happens during an eclipse corridor?
Eclipses are accelerators of destiny. They trigger events that have been brewing for a long time. What is meant to happen, happens. What has outlived its purpose, leaves.
During an eclipse corridor, reality becomes "thinner." Many report increased anxiety, vivid dreams, strange coincidences, unexpected meetings and partings, a feeling of a "portal" or transition.
Energetically, an eclipse corridor is like a bridge between two banks. You enter it as one person and leave as another. Changes can be external (events) or internal (insights, decisions).
What not to do during an eclipse corridor
Astrologers recommend avoiding important new beginnings during an eclipse corridor. It is not advisable to start a new business, sign major contracts, propose or get married, undergo serious medical procedures (unless urgent), or take out large loans.
The reason is not that these are "bad days." It's simply that during an eclipse corridor, you don't see the full picture. Information is not yet revealed, and the balance of power is shifting. Decisions made during this period often have to be reconsidered.
It is also undesirable to get into conflicts – emotions are heightened during this period, and quarrels can lead to ruptures that would not have occurred in "normal" times.
What you can and should do
Observe. The eclipse corridor is a time for receiving information. Pay attention to signs, dreams, "chance" encounters. The universe is speaking to you.
Let go. If something is leaving, don't hold on. Eclipses take away what you no longer need. Relationships, work, habits, beliefs – everything that has outlived its purpose.
Rest. This is an energetically demanding period. Give yourself more sleep, quiet time, and solitude. Don't plan a busy schedule.
Meditate. Mindfulness practices help to navigate the corridor calmly. All spiritual practices are amplified.
Complete tasks. This is an excellent time to close old projects, repay debts (literal and metaphorical), and forgive.
Keep a journal. Write down what is happening. In a few months, you will see that the eclipses initiated important processes that unfolded later.
Eclipses and the natal chart
Eclipses have a particularly strong effect if they fall on your natal planets or points (within 3-5 degrees). An eclipse on your Sun – a pivotal year. On the Moon – emotional crisis and renewal. On the Ascendant – a change of image and direction. On the MC – a career turning point.
Check which houses of your chart the current eclipses fall into – this will show the areas where to expect changes.
How to prepare
A week before the corridor, complete important tasks. Minimize stress. Postpone major decisions if possible. And remember: eclipses are not "bad." They are a powerful renewal that takes you to a new level.
